Scully will DJing at Laundry Bar this Friday night for Basshead Productions 7 Year Anniversary alongside internationally acclaimed Vex’d, Hive, and 12th Planet and Miami’s Burn and Mad MC. Vex’d are a duo of electronic music pioneers who mix sounds from break beats, drum n bass, dub step, and ambient in very creative ways. I’m psyched about seeing them live in Miami… a very rare treat!
Oh yeah, and I finally booked my flight to Egypt. It hasn’t really sunk in yet. Neither has the fact that I will miss Movement in Detroit after the blast I had there last year. But I’m sure Detroit will be the last thing on my mind as I stand in the presence of the ancient Pyramids of Giza. But I did manage to schedule a layover in London to finally visit the legendary club Fabric. Coincidentally, Luciano, Pedro, Terry Francis, Shinedo, and Model 500 will be playing that night. Happy Birthday to me!
